Commission Book Covers & Illustrations
I am currently only taking commissions for digital pieces. I only take a few at a time, so schedule ahead if you’re looking for something on a certain time frame.
I spent over a decade working in digital advertising before pivoting to writing and publishing. Since then I have worked with may indie publishers and indie authors to create covers and book illustrations, as well as creating all the art for my own published works.

What does your illustration process look like?
Thumbnails
I create 2-4 thumbnails focusing on composition. I want to make sure I make a dynamic composition that fits the tone and genre of your book.
I will often include a write up explaining any style and color considerations, including image references
Rough
Once a thumbnail has been decided on, this is where the details come in. I get everything drawn in grayscale, giving notes on any coloring considerations
This is where the majority of the edits will happen. It is much more difficult to make changes after color, so this needs to be as perfect as possible
Final
There is the option for edits once this is complete, but they would need to be minor in comparison to the rough stage
This is the rendering stage, including color, lighting, stylization, etc
What is your payment process & methods?
For authors I’ve never worked with before, I do a 50/50 payment schedule. I can work with authors who need to break this into smaller payments.
- 50% payment on approval of thumbnails
- 50% payment on approval of final before the un-watermarked, full resolution file is sent
I accept payments through:
